Multinational Minewarfare Exercise “Ariadne 21”

        From Saturday 27th March to Sunday 4th April 2021, the multinational Mine warfare Exercise "ARIADNI 21", was held in the area of the Patras Gulf.

        The frigate "HYDRA" participated in the exercise as the flagship of the Hellenic Mine Warfare Commander, Captain A. Rokas, along with the Minehunters "EVROPI" and “KALYPSO”, the Gunship “NIKIFOROS", "ROS A. CATUNEANU", the units of the Allied Anti-Mine Force Standing NATO Mine Countermeasures Group Two (SNMCMG2) consisting of "TCG SOKULLU MEHMET PASA", “TCG AYVALIK", “FS ORION", «ESPS TAJO», "BGS TSIBAR", “ITS TERMOLI", Explosive Ordnance Disposal Teams, Air Force aircrafts, as well as observer officers from Egypt and Romania.

        ARIADNE exercise is hosted annually by Greece, including multi-domain warfare serials, with emphasis on Mine Warfare in order to maintain and increase the operational readiness and promote the level of cooperation of the participants.
