» MISSION
1. The Fund's principal aim is to complement National Naval Forces, disposing its assets for the following:
a. Shipbuilding of Navy Ships.
b. The purchase or conversion of Navy Ships.
c. The issuing of loans solely for the aforementioned (a) and (b) purposes.
d. The construction of naval basis and the supply of the on the shore country's defense.
e. The supply of all types of naval material and equipment.
2. In order to facilitate these exact aims The National Fleet Fund has, during the last fifteen years, disposed the amount of 28.459.847, 76 Euro (approximately 9, 5 billion Greek Drachmas).
» ASSETS
The assets of the National Fleet Fund are considered National property and are protected by the laws that govern Public Accounting. The Fund's assets include real estate property, cash and bonds.
» MANAGEMENT
The capital reserves of the National Fleet Fund are deposited at the Bank of Greece, while all bonds are stored at the National Bank of Greece .
» INCOME
The National Fleet Fund's main income comes from:
a.
The management of the Fund's real estate property and from the liquidation of it.
b. The exploitation of property located within Naval Bases.
c.
Interest, dividends and yield received from the Fund's deposits located at the Bank of Greece, as well as interest received due to delay of payments towards the National Fleet Fund.
d. The donations and wills towards the National Fleet Fund.
e.
The liquidation of useless material belonging to the Hellenic Navy.
f. Income gained from the non-returned clothing of seamen following the completion of their military service.
g.
Earnings from materials granted to private sector businesses.
h.
Earnings from services rendered at the facilities of the Hellenic Naval Bases.
i. Rights received from the usage of naval shipyards by private sector businesses.
