Rear Admiral Panagiotis Litsas HN
Rear Admiral Panagiotis Litsas HN was born on December 20, 1958 in Argolida (Greece). He joined the Hellenic Naval Academy in 1976, from which he graduated in 1980, as an Ensign.
He was promoted to:

He served on Destroyers, Fast Attack Craft-Torpedo boats, Fast Attack Craft-Missile boats and Frigates. He was also assigned to Hellenic Fast boat Command, Command in chief of Hellenic Fleet, Hellenic Navy General Staff and to Hellenic Defense General Staff.
His previous assignments duties include:
- Officer of Fast Attack Craft Boats.
- Commanding Officer of Fast Attack Craft Boats (HS ANTONIOU-HS CYCLON-HS PEZOPOULOS-HS BLESSAS).
- Commander of 3rd Division of Fast Boats.
- Commanding Officer of HS NAVARINON(FFG).
- Director of Maritime Operations Center of Hellenic Fleet.
- Director of Operation Center in Hellenic Defense General Staff.
- Commander of Hellenic Fast Boat Command
- Director of Hellenic Fleet A Branch (ops-training).
- Chief of Staff of Hellenic Fleet.
- Senior Naval Officer Aegean.
- Commander of Supreme Joint War College (ADISPO).
He was subsequently specialized as a Navigation Officer.
He has graduated from the Hellenic Naval War College, Navigation School of Hellenic Navy and from any other school / training foreseen in accordance with his grades.
He is the recipient of Decorations and Medals respective to his rank.
As Commanding Officer of HS NAVARINON, he participated in ACTIVE ENDEAVOUR Operation in Eastern Mediterranean, and in ENDURING FREEDOM Operation in Persian Gulf.
He is married and has one son.
