Rear Admiral Konstantinos Mazarakis - Εnian ΗΝ

Rear Admiral Konstantinos Mazarakis-Enian was born in Athens, Greece in 1957. He joined the Naval Academy in 1976 and graduated as Ensign in 1980.

Sea duty assignments includes in Communications Officer, Operations Director, as Executive Officer and as Commanding Officer. Also served as pilot / trainer and Commander of the Helicopters' Flight School, as well as Squadron Commander, Chief of Staff and Commander of the Helicopters' Command of the Navy, qualified with over 3.500 flight hours on AB-212 ASW/EW and S-70B-6 SEAHAWK helicopters. In addition, he served as head of the Operations' and Communications' Exercises Department, and later as Exercises' Director in CC MAR Naples. Finally, he commanded the NATO Maritime Interdiction Operations Training Center (NMIOTC-GR) in Souda Bay, Crete, Greece.

 

Main education and additional training include all the carrier schools and Navy Colleges of the Hellenic Navy in addition to his "Strategic Analysis and Crisis Management" degree from the Scottish Center for the National Security of the University of Aberdeen.

 

Rear Admiral Konstantinos Mazarakis-Enian is awarded with:

  • The medal for Meritorious Administrator
  • The medal for Formation Leadership

Rear Admiral Mazarakis is married and has three children.
