    The crest of the gunboat HS POLEMISTIS describes a former ship of the same type using sails, with a cross and a sword crossing above the ship. The picture symbolizes the fight for “The Christianity and the Motherland” which was held by the crew of the Hellenic ships during the War for Independence in 1821.

  • HS POLEMISTIS is the second ship of Pirpolitis - Polemistis class whose design and shipbuilding is totally Greek. She was activated in the Greek shipyards of Skaramagka on 16th May 1994. It changed superior command and it was commissioned under the command of Fast Patrol Boats in 01/11/2002. From her commission until today she has undertaken many missions particularly in the islands of Eastern Aegean and it has participated in many fleet exercises of large, medium or smaller scale. Moreover it has participated in missions of social content.
