Commanding Officer HS ADRIAS

  Commander Lazaros Sidiropoulos H.Ν. 


Commander Lazaros Sidiropoulos was born in Thessaloniki in 1971. He became a Cadet of the Hellenic Navy Academy in 1988 and graduated in 1992 as an Ensign (Line Officer).

Training  and Specialization

Commander Sidiropoulos has completed various courses regarding Electronic, Radio biochemical Warfare and Damage Control.

He has received staff training for Junior Officers and Section Head of Department. He has a degree in weapon systems and he has graduated from the Supreme Joint War Academy in Thessaloniki.

Sea Service

Commander Sidiropoulos has served as Section and Department Head in Fast Patrol Boats and Destroyers, as Executive Officer in Fast Patrol Boat (HS SIMITZOPOULOS) and Frigate (HS THEMISTOKLIS).

He is privileged to have served as the Commanding Officer of HS TOXOTIS and HS SIMITZOPOULOS.

Since March 2019 he is the Commanding Officer of HS ADRIAS.

Shore Assignments  

Commander Sidiropoulos has served as Head of the Armature and Administration Departments of the Patrol Boats HQ.

He served as a commander of the naval station in Lesvos island.

He served as an instructor for Cooperative Operations and Exercises between each Corp in the Supreme Joint War Academy.

He has served as a coordinator in the Centre of Naval Operations of Hellenic Navy General Staff.

Service Medals and Commendations

Commander Sidiropoulos has received the medals and commendations commensurate to his rank and previous posts.

Additionally, he has been honored with the U.N. Medal for participating in the pacifying operation UNIFIL MAROPS which was held in the vicinity of Lebanon.

Foreign Languages – Family Status

Commander Sidiropoulos speaks English fluently. He is married and has one child.
